Bienvenue chez vous Ch002
"Huh? Uncle? And how do you know that name?" my uncle asked.
I opened my mouth to answer, but closed it when Vegeta answered his question for me.
"Yes, Kakarot, these are Raditz's children, Maxie," he motioned towards Maxie, who was still stuffing his face. "And Mai," he said motioning towards me. I smiled at him.
"Wha!" he said in surprise.
"Hi!" I said smiling brightly. I elbowed Maxie in the side, making him stop eating.
He looked at Kakarot and swallowed the food in his mouth. "Hello," he said smiling sweetly.
Our uncle looked speechless. Then he smiled. "They're cute."
The next thing I knew, Maxie was holding me back as I tried to attack the one who called me the dreaded c word. "Maxie, let go of me!" I growled, wiggling in his hold.
"No! That isn't a good reason to attack people!" my brother responded, tightening his hold on me.
"Kakarot looked confused. I growled and sat down on the couch, my back facing him and Vegeta. "I'm not cute," I said quietly, pouting.
Maxie put a hand on my shoulder. "You shouldn't attack random people. You need to save your energy. You'll need it for our revenge," he said softly.
"Revenge for what?" our uncle asked with a confused look.
"Revenge for our parents being killed!" I said, raising my voice with every word. "And we know he killed one of them," I said, pointing an accusing finger at Vegeta.
"Huh?"
"She's talking about Nappa, Kakarot. I killed Nappa for being to weak," Vegeta said, guilt and regret lacing his words.
"WHAT! How is that possible?" Kakarot said, obviously bewildered.
I looked at Maxie, who looked like he was gonna cry. I hugged and comforted him as Vegeta explained how our parents are who they are. Holding Maxie, I felt drowsy and decided to take a little nap.

I woke up sometime later, Maxie still in my comforting hold. He was sleeping peacefully. I smiled at his cute innocence. I let go of him and sat up, looking around. We were in a bed room and there was a green man with pointy ears and a turban sitting in the corner. I stared at him. He stared at me. "Are you a yoshi?" I said, breaking the awkward silence.
He face palmed. "No, I'm not a yoshi," he said with an annoyed look and tone.
I giggled. "Who are you?"
"Piccolo."
"Okay," I said, looking around some more.
"I'm sorry," I heard Piccolo mumble.
I looked back at him. He looked guilty and regretful. "Come again?"
"I'm sorry, I was the one who killed your father."
I just stared at him. This had been way easier then I had first thought. I looked at Maxie. He was still sleeping. A tear rolled down my cheek as I pulled my knees to my chest, burying my face in them.
Maxie's eyes shot open sensing my sadness. He sat up and saw Piccolo. "Get out of here! When my sister is upset, lots of damage happens. She can't control her power..." He got out of the bed and went over to Piccolo. He pulled on his arm mumbling pleas for him to leave under his breath.
I could feel my power rising as the tears rolled down my cheeks.

The next thing I knew, I was sitting in the bed, the bedding in taters. There was a skylight above me and I could see through the walls for a few rooms. Maxie looked shocked from where he was being held out of the way. "Oops," I said, laughing nervously, scratching the back of my head.
Maxie hopped down and walked over to me. "What made you so upset, Mai?" he asked me softly.
I glanced at Piccolo, then looked back at my brother. "I found out who killed Papa," I said quietly.
"What! Who?"
"The yoshi," I whispered.
"I'm not a freaking yoshi!"
Maxie turned around with the most pitiful puppy dog face that would make anyone feel guilty, even if they weren't. "Y-you killed my Papa?" Maxie said, his eyes tearing up.
"Look, I'm sorry. He was trying to kill us all."
I took a deep breath, then blast off through the new skylight.
